F.A.Q.

Browse our frequently asked questions:

Where do your items come from?

Skippers Marine scours the waterfront looking for overstock, obsolete, new and old dealer stock parts inventories from boatyards and marinas. We also salvage select vessels to obtain those unusual or hard to find items.

May I come browse your inventory?

No. Skippers Marine is solely an internet and mail order store. We keep our prices low because our overhead is low.

What if I buy an item and it is wrong?

Skippers Marine will gladly accept returns for a full refund when the item is returned undamaged within 30 days.

Is there a warranty on these parts?

Our products carry no warranties expressed or implied. Although we make every effort to accurately describe our items within the item description, the majority of our items are used or recycled and cosmetic imperfections shall be expected. All items are tested and inspected before being shipped. As stated above, any item may be returned for a full refund within 30 days unless otherwise described as being sold “as-is”.

May I save on shipping costs by picking up my item?

Although we prefer to properly package and ship our items to you, we will make exceptions to have an item picked up by arranging an appointment in advance.

I have a boat that I no longer need. Will you buy it?

We purchase certain select boats for salvage. Feel free to get in touch with us to discuss this.

What Credit Cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Paypal.

Is all of your inventory listed online?

Although we make every effort to list our inventory online, our inventory is too extensive to list all items online. If you are looking for something you don’t see listed, fill out our request for boating equipment form.
